Privacy Policy

Presente is a privacy‑first application that helps groups stay connected while sharing as little personal data as possible. This policy describes what information we gather, why we collect it and the choices available to you.

When you register or sign in we store only the details needed to operate your account, such as your email address and the identifier generated by your login provider. These records allow us to authenticate you and deliver your messages. We never sell or rent account information and we do not build profiles for advertising purposes.

Some features, like sending a ping to nearby contacts, may include location or device data. This information is held briefly so the service can function and is automatically removed after the ping_until time you specify or within twenty‑four hours, whichever comes first. Routine server logs are purged on a similar schedule.

Presente relies on external services for authentication and push notifications. We attempt to follow all guidelines from the app stores we currently support, and your password is never exposed to Presente.

*“Shared” means transferred off-device to a third party or another user. In Presente, sharing is limited to friends selected by the user and to our messaging and authentication provider. Data is not sold to advertisers.

Not collected

Presente does not collect names, phone numbers, physical addresses, financial account numbers, health or fitness data, audio, files, calendar events, SMS or MMS, web-browsing history, crash logs, or diagnostics beyond the minimal event logs described above. Business hub owners may upload a public hub logo.

Security & retention

Location and device data are kept only long enough to deliver the requested ping or chat—automatically deleted within 24 hours or the user‑specified expiration.

Account information (email, UID, voucher status) persists until the user deletes their account or requests removal.

You may request access to or deletion of your stored data at any time by emailing [email protected]. Continued use of Presente after updates to this policy constitutes acceptance of the changes. This page will always display the most current version.
